Rocky Mountain Radiologists has been providing quality radiological care in the west Denver community for over 47 years. We take pride in our use of state-of-the-art technology and our attention to “the customer”, be it the patient, referring physician, office nurse, or physician assistant.
Our radiologists are certified by the American Board of Radiology and have degrees from some of the most highly respected universities across the United States. The diversity and size of our practice allows our radiologists the flexibility to sub-specialize and offer greater expertise in areas such as Women’s Breast Imaging, PET/CT oncology, and Body Imaging.

Dr. Samual Ahn specializes in interventional radiology. He went to medical school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed his residency at Presbyterian St. Luke’s medical Center-Denver where he was Chief Radiology Resident. He then completed his fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Ahn is, also, a champion mountain bike racer and spends a lot of his free time indulging in his favorite sport. |

Dr. John “Trey” Gilbert specializes in abdominal imaging and PET/CT. He attended medical school at Emory University in Alabama. After doing an internship at Presbyterian/St. Luke-Denver he returned to Emory University to complete his residency and fellowship. He vowed to return to Denver to practice radiology and in 2007 he and his wife moved to Denver where he joined Rocky Mountain Radiologists. |

Dr. Matthew Gipson specializes in vascular and interventional radiology. He attended medical school at New York Medical College. He completed his residency at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis were he was Chief Resident his last year. Dr. Gipson’s fellowship training was completed at the University of Colorado. Dr. Gipson spends time mountain biking, fishing and skiing. |

Dr. Ross Goldstein specializes in neuroradioloy and oncologic imaging. Dr. Goldstein went to medical school at the University of Wisconsin. He did his residency training at Vanderbilt University where he was Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship at Stanford University before moving to Denver. Dr. Goldstein has been voted a “Top-Doc” in Denver’s 5280 magazine for four years running. He enjoys tennis and coaching his oldest daughter’s soccer team. |

Dr. Jeffrey Guyon specializes in mammography and neuroradiology. He attended Case Western Reserve School of Medicine before completing his residency at the University of California-San Francisco. He did his fellowship at San Francisco General Hospital then moved to Denver. He joined Rocky Mountain Radiologists in 1984 and was past President of the Board from 2000-2001. Dr. Guyon enjoys a good game of golf. |

Dr. Craig Jonas specializes in body imaging and diagnostic radiology. A Colorado native he studied at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington D.C. as well as Dartmouth Medical School on a military scholarship. He completed his residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Medical Center. He served as Chief of Radiology at DeWitt Army Hospital at Fort Belvoir, Virginia before retiring from the Army. He then joined Rocky Mountain Radiologists. Dr. Jonas loves motorcycling and exploring Colorado. |

Dr. Bridget Lauro specializes in sports imaging. After deferring medical school for a year to play on the professional tennis tour she received her MD at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. She then completed her residency at the University of Washington before completing her fellowship training at the University of Colorado with a visiting fellowship at National Orthopedic Imaging Associates. Dr. Lauro is an avid lover of athletics and travel; she enjoys tennis and extreme skiing. |

Dr. Scott Lowe specializes in musculoskeletal radiology. Dr. Lowe has a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience from Northwestern University of Chicago. He attended medical school at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University then went on to do a fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. A born Coloradoan, Dr. Lowe moved back to Denver after completing his fellowship and joined Rocky Mountain Radiologists. |

Dr. Jeffrey Quam specializes in breast and body imaging and PET/CT oncologic imaging. Dr. Quam completed both medical school and his residency at the Mayo Clinic. After spending four years as Chief of Breast Imaging and Chief of CT at Travis AFB he returned to Mayo Clinic as Director of CT Section and later Section Head of Breast Imaging. Dr. Quam contributed original research to the FDA’s approval of the computed digital mammography unit. Dr. Quam and his wife enjoy mountain biking, hiking and climbing. |

Dr. Earl Schott specializes in interventional radiology. Dr. Schott attended medical school at Chicago’s Northwestern University. He then completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Schott worked in several states before falling in love with Colorado and deciding to stay here permanently. In his spare time he enjoys golf, travel and snowboarding. |

Dr. Virginia Scroggins specializes in musculoskeletal MRI. She studied medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She then completed her residency in Houston at the University of Texas Health Science Center where she was Chief Resident. She was then selected to participate in the Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at National Orthopedic Imaging Associates in San Francisco, California. Dr. Scroggins enjoys living in Colorado and partaking in all it has to offer, like trail running, snow skiing, and hiking. |

Dr. Jill Vecchio specializes in breast imaging. She studied medicine at the University of Colorado. She also completed her residency, where she was Chief Resident, and her fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Vecchio started her own practice, Imaging Specialists, in Colorado Springs. She was named Radiologist of the Year by HealthSource for “Contributions to Medical Practice”. She then moved back to the Denver area to work with the Sally Jobe Breast Network, before joining Rocky Mountain Radiologists in 2008. Dr. Vecchio lives on 10 acres of land with her husband, their 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. |

Dr. Jeffry Weingardt specializes musculoskeletal and onco imaging. Dr. Weingardt attended medical school at the University of Colorado. He then did his residency at Northwestern University. He returned to Colorado for his fellowship at the University of Colorado. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Weingardt stayed on staff at the university as assistant professor of radiology. He joined RMR in 1997 and has served as the company’s president since 2003. Dr. Weingardt enjoys cycling, gardening and watching his 3 girls grow up in his home town of Littleton, Colorado. |

Dr. Eric White specializes in musculoskeletal imaging and neuroradiology. He studied medicine in New York at Columbia University. After completing his residency at University of California, San Francisco, Dr. White started his fellowship in a six month research fellowship in computed tomography sponsored by the National Institute of Health. He completed his fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. White has resided in the Colorado foothills for the past 30 years, and frequently travels to Wyoming and Hawaii. |

Dr. Kimberly Wright specializes in abdominal and breast imaging. She pursued her medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Her fellowship training was done at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Wright loves competing in athletics and virtually any outdoor activity including snow skiing, waterskiing, triathlons/marathons and camping. |
